Clap Your Hands Say Yeah will be in Toronto in April for the second time, and the tickets sold out in like 0 minutes again. This is the disadvantage of being in a major city. Like winning the silver metal, coming so close and yet so far feels worse than missing the opportunity all together.
When The Strokes come to Toronto, I'm sure I'll completely miss out. Like my 8 hour trek from Steinbach to Minneapolis to see them 2 years ago, I'll likely end up taking the 6 hour trek to Chicago; although that show will likely sell out just as fast. I'm also 8 hours from NYC, but there's not a chance in Hell's Kitchen that I'll see them there.
On the non-corporate side of things though, I'm hoping to go to see Great Lake Swimmers in March, playing with Luke Doucet among others. I could buy the wristband and see Default if I wanted, but then again nobody's stopping me from crossing the street without looking either.
